                  Treasure

Treasure is the founder of Cat Moves Yoga.  When she is not snoozing or misbehaving she practices and teaches the art and science of yoga daily.  Treasure believes students should follow a daily meditation practice and study ancient scriptures diligently (Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Sutras and Hatha Yoga Pradipika).

She is fond of bakasana (crane), padmasana (lotus) and salamba sarvangasana (shoulder stand).

You can catch Treasure prancing around at Cat Moves.

                  Marcus Edwardes

Marcus has been practicing yoga for 10 years and teaching in Canberra for two years.  He loves the beauty, grace and tradition of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and has had the privilege to study in Mysore, India.  He also loves Jivamukti yoga and its focus on ahimsa (non-violence including ethical vegetarianism), compassion and activism.

Marcus is a Level 1 Yoga Teacher and the ACT representative of Yoga Australia (formerly Yoga Teachers Association of Australia) and continues to study and learn.  He has completed teacher training on the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series with David Swenson.  He is also a certified Jivamukti yoga teacher having studied with Sharon Gannon and David Life in New York.

He is especially thankful to teachers Paul Frechtling, Mark Robberds, Ruth Lauer-Manenti, Heather Agnew and his first teacher Carmela Lacey.

                  Felicity Gouldthorp

Felicity has been practicing yoga for five years and has just become a certified Jivamukti yoga teacher.  Felicity practices both Ashtanga Vinyasa and Jivamukti yoga as her regular sadhana.

Felicity is ever thankful to her teachers, especially Sharon Gannon (Sharonji), David Life (Davidji), Paul Fretchling, Mark Robberds, Gayatri and Keithamukti.  Felicity enjoys using what she has learnt on the mat and then taking it off the mat.  To spread love and joy everywhere and to live a life of compassion and kindness towards all beings including animals.  Felicity is hoping to serve all her students with equanimity, grace and energy and looks forward to every moment of this journey.

                  Sophie Clement

Sophie has been practising yoga since 2008, maintaining a regular practice in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga since the start of 2010.   Sophie enjoys the flow of Ashtanga Yoga, she finds the fluid blending of breath and movement brings focus to her practice of asanas.  She has also practised Iyengar  Yoga which she values highly for its integration of the philosophy of yoga and strict technical teaching of the postures.

Sophie completed her teacher training with Yoga Trinity and she is a Provisional Member of Yoga Australia.

                  Katrina Hansen

Katrina first found the joys of yoga some 14 years ago when she attended pre-natal yoga whilst pregnant with her first child.  She has experience in the Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa flow styles of yoga and has been teaching for 6 years.  She thoroughly enjoys introducing people of all abilities to embrace yoga.  Katrina's goal is to provide others with real, self-empowering yoga skills for life by adapting the yoga to the person rather than the person to the yoga.  She is a Provisional Member of Yoga Australia and has completed further yoga training in teenage yoga, pre-natal, post-natal and infants.
